EGO – Facing the Person You Can’t Escape
I’m excited to finally share my new short film, Ego, now available to watch.
This is a story I’ve wanted to tell for a long time. It’s about something we all deal with but rarely talk about—those quiet battles with ourselves that take place when no one’s watching.
Ego follows a man coming home at the end of a long day, only to realize something is deeply off. The night unfolds with a sense of unease as strange, subtle events build to something more terrifying: a confrontation with himself—literally. What starts as a quiet evening turns into a psychological standoff against the figure that haunts him the most: his own double.
This film is a reflection of what it feels like to lose control of your inner voice. The version of you that doubts, rewrites reality, and questions your sense of self. I didn’t want to explain it—I wanted you to feel it. That’s why the film leans into atmosphere, shadows, silence, and dread.
I made Ego with zero budget, one actor, and a lot of love for psychological horror. Every frame is meant to make you second-guess what’s real. It’s all visual storytelling, driven by mood, subtle tension, and isolation.
If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and felt like a stranger—or heard your own mind turn against you—this film is for you.
Thank you for being a part of this journey.
